		<description>I would have to think that bringing in a manager for each of the business segments is a step in that direction. If the stated goal is autotomy among business lines and decision makers, I hope he plans on stepping back, otherwise what would the point be? We&#039;ll just have to see what comes of this. Hopefully we see some announcements over the course of the year.</description>

		<description>That&#039;s great and all but if Lampert doesn&#039;t step back and allow these managers to work on their own, then the plan is still far from being good.  There was a very candid piece on portfolio.com last week that outlined some of the problems with the retailing giant.  One of the primary ones - that I don&#039;t think this plan addresses - is Lampert micromanaging everything in the company.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;He&#039;s not a retailer - he&#039;s a capital allocator.  He should step back, let these guys work and then be responsible for capital budgeting.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Just my two pennies.</description>
