		<description>He keeps the shares that are repurchased? Hardly. His ownership percentage increases due to the buybacks, but the shares are retired. As for bankruptcy, I have no idea what you are talking about. AutoZone is one of the most profitable retailers in the industry and stock buybacks don&#039;t affect that at all.</description>

		<description>you do realize that eddie lampert is eating the stock from the inside out,,,,,,he get his shares bought in the &#039;stock buybacks&#039; 

once he has gotten all he can and azo is left to service their debt he will be able to buy back all of his position in bk court.

this is an enron with enron book keeping and everyone and their dog upgrading and picking the stock until somebody wants out. 

i must say what eddie did was pure genious...find a stock that would grow and had cash (at the time) to buyout shares far higher than he bought them.....its like he found a hooker who pays him lol.</description>
